11 early Black Friday deals you'll definitely want before Thanksgiving

Ready or not, early Black Friday deals are starting to drop faster than you can get through your Halloween candy. Walmart's early Black Friday deals are live now through Nov. 17, while Amazon's early deals officially go live Nov. 21. Even retailers like Wayfair and QVC are dropping sneak peeks and teaser deals to get shoppers in the mood.

If it feels like Black Friday deals are dropping earlier and earlier every year, you'd be right. What was once reserved for the days and weekend after Thanksgiving is bulldozing ahead of the holiday that made it popular. In fact, if you ask us, we'd say that the new unoffically official start of holiday deals season starts in early October with Amazon now-annual October Prime Day sales event.

With so many early Black Friday deals officially underway, you might be tempted to browse through them for the people on your shopping list this year like your teen grandkids or your outdoorsy son-in-law. But what you might not realize is that these early Black Friday deals are a surprisingly good time to stock up on a few items you'll want before Thanksgiving day, like bedding, cookware and decor.

Take, for example, this 16-piece dishware set. It's unassuming enough to pair with pretty much any other cookware you own, but it's a nice alternative to wasteful paper plates and bowls. If you find that your homemade gravy or the viral pecan pie dip you tried out this year is getting cold before everyone's served up, this $15 set of two smaller slow cookers is a genius solution. And if you're hosting overnight guests, one can never have too many sets of guest sheets, especially if they're just $18 for a queen-sized set.

Of course, there are many more deals where those came from, so keep scrolling for the 11 best early Black Friday deals that we think will make your Thanksgiving celebrations even more cheerful.

'Tis the season for all things pumpkin, right? If you want your home to smell like a freshly baked pie or a yummy pumpkin-spiced latte, then stock up on these best-selling candles while they're down to just $17 at Walmart. If you buy at Amazon, you'll pay over $20 for this one, with others going as high as $30.

For some, Thanksgiving is all about the family and food. For others, it's about the big game — or three. Make sure your living room is up to the task with a new 50-inch 4K smart TV. This one has Roku built in, so you can also stream all of your favorite shows on whatever streaming service they're on.

And, for curious minds, here's the 2024 Thanksgiving Day football schedule:

• Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions — 12:30 p.m. ET on CBS

• New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys — 4:30 p.m ET on FOX

• Miami Dolphins vs. Green Bay Packers — 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC

If you find that you run low on plates and bowls on the best of days, it's probably time to admit that you need to invest in an extra set of dishware. This 16-set from Gibson Home comes with full service for four, and includes four dinner plates, four smaller salad or dessert plates, four dinner bowls and four smaller soup bowls. In a pinch, you could probably say these serve eight guests — if a few of them don't mind piling their plates a little taller, that is.

If you like to host for the holidays, chances are that means you also like to cook. And if you like cooking, you probably already own an oversized Crock Pot or slow cooker. But where the large one isn't useful is in keeping lots of small dishes warm for a long period of time. These smaller 2-quart styles from Drew Barrymore's "Beautiful" line at Walmart are a great addition to your slow cooker lineup because they can be used to keep smaller quantities of hot dips, soups, appetizers or even your homemade gravy warm throughout the entire meal.

These unassuming 1,800 thread count sheets are perfect for spare beds when you just want to have an extra couple of sheets on hand for overnight guests. They come in a huge suite of colors — 54 in fact, from Calla Green and Apricot Orange to Mocha and Pink Clay, and everything in between — and are available in sizes from Twin and Twin XL to California King. Each set comes with a fitted sheet, a flat sheet and two pillow cases.

Plus, these sheets have nearly 9,000 reviews on Walmart, where they have a 4.6-star rating. Over 7,000 of those reviews are for five-star ratings by shoppers who commented on the quality and value of the sheets.

"For the price I expected these sheets to be cheap and thin; however, they are the best made, softest sheets I’ve had in a very long time," wrote a recent reviewer. "It makes me wish I’d ordered two sets instead of one."

There's a reason this Shark Navigator has been branded an XL — it features an extra large dust cup to help you get rid of messes all over your home without the need for constant emptying. But when it is time to dump the mess, the dust cup can be easily removed and emptied into the trash without any hassle. It's powerful and great for hard-to-reach spots — and always selling out, but right now it's in stock and you can also snatch it up at Walmart for more than half off.

We've been keeping tabs on this practical storage cart for a while, and now it's the cheapest we've seen it after dropping an extra $6 over the past two weeks.

If you feel like your kitchen could do with a few extra countertops and cabinets ahead of Thanksgiving, this rolling storage island is like adding three extra shelves to your kitchen. Each of the three shelves holds up to 88 pounds, making them ideal for storing bulky items, while the 10 hooks on the sides display cooking utensils, kitchen towels, coffee mugs or whatever else you need to keep within arm's reach.

Use it in the kitchen to store bulky appliances like your microwave, Crock Pot and blender, or turn the entire island into dedicated coffee and cocktails corner for the holidays.Use the top to display a fruit bowl, flowers, photos, a lamp or more while the bottom shelves do the hard work of hiding kitchen clutter.

It doesn't get much cuter than Staub ceramic pumpkin cocotte. The French cookware brand is known for creating chic kitchen staples for home chefs with exquisite craftsmanship and this Thanksgiving piece at 45% off is no exception.

It easily transfers from the oven to the table, so you can use it to serve soups (butternut squash, anyone?), veggies, casseroles and more. "A little jewel with the power to keep soup warm for a long time," wrote a fan. Another option: Use to hold sweet treats like candy corn!

An old-school drip coffee maker is great — sometimes. But when you have a house full of people who like their coffee in very, very different ways, a Keurig is the easy choice. This K-Express Essentials brews up single-serve pods of coffee in three sizes — 6, 8 and 10 ounces — in whatever pod flavor you like. Perhaps grandpa prefers a strong black coffee while your granddaughter loves a pumpkin spice blend. Now, everyone can have their coffee just the way they like it.

It's really annoying to run out of ice when you're hosting a big party with lots of people. With this countertop ice maker, you'll get ahead of the problem as it can have ice cubes ready in as little as six minutes. Plus, it's portable, so you can move it around and place it right next to your cocktail station or drinks stand if you like.

Plus, it's well-reviewed, with over 7,500 reviewers giving it an overall 4.5-star rating at Walmart. "I never run out of ice and I don't have to mess around with the ice trays anymore," said one recent shopper.
