Many dogs feel their best when they have a have a job to do, whether it's a quick task or an all day undertaking. In fact, plenty of dogs were bred to do jobs, like the Siberian Huskies who pull sleds across long distances or the Border Collies who herd livestock. Some pups even work as police dogs or therapy animals, and they all make the world a better place.

One special working pup is getting his fifteen minutes of fame after helping a woman get home following a fun night out. On November 25, @aquariusgirly21, AKA D, shared a clip of the apartment building's security dog on the job. His tail-wagging attitude is as cute as can be but not as cute as his long Dachshund body! It's safe to say that he's everyone's new favorite working pup.

OMG--just look at him! This long-haired Dachshund is as fashionable as can be in his work vest, but clearly, he has no time to be fawned over. He may be a small dog, but he means business!

"I love the security dog being the cutest and smallest thing," joked commenter @salemanarosee. He probably thinks he's a big dog! He clearly has the intelligence and memory for such an important job if he knows where everyone lives, but I have the same question that others are having: how does he get back to the lobby of the building?

Someone joked that the working pup uses the laundry chute like firefighters sliding down the firepole, and I can't get that imagery out of my mind. Whether he can summon the elevator or take the stairs, I'm just as impressed as his 14 million other viewers. We need an update from this Dachshund dog ASAP!

Despite his tail wagging, this security dog clearly isn't thrilled with being her chaperone back home. It's like he's in a rush! If anything, his attitude makes him the perfect pup for the job.

What is a Security Dog?

Although this guardian dog is a beloved part of the building's community, he's not a trained guard dog in the way that a police K9 or personal protection dog would be. That's because each type of job requires different training, and there's no single organization that standardizes job requirements.

This security dog seems like the perfect escort after a night out, but I'm not sure I would trust him with more serious cases. In fact, I would protect him at all costs! Security dogs can come in all shapes and sizes, but not every dog can do every job. Luckily, this pup has found his perfect role!
