Corgis Get ‘Jobs’ at the Fire Department and Funny Chaos Ensues
Have you ever considered what kind of job your dog might be qualified to do? My dog is a professional napper, but if she had to get a real job, I think she'd want to work with kids because she loves all of them. Maxine and Hammy are both internet famous Corgis with huge followings. Together with their dads Bryan and Chris, they share the funniest videos, like this one they shared on Sunday, December 1st.
In the video Maxine and Hammy get jobs at the local fire department. On their first day on the job, they received a 911 call and immediately went to work with the firefighters to help the woman in need. But on the way, the Corgis decide to make a pitstop. Watch on to see where they go.
I laughed at Maxine's dad's caption when he said, "They lasted one day", and included the eye roll emoji. I'm willing to bet that the firefighters would let them stay on the crew though, I think they'd make great coworkers! Commenter @Toni Ann thought so too and said, "I wish I had this guy at work!" Another commenter pointed out, "Hammy's giggle gets me every time. So Hungry! LOL!" and @h3yd0000 added, "Omg the way he says “And nuggieees?” LOL!" It's safe to say we all agree with @SuzyQall who shared, "I love the Hammy/Maxine collabs!!!"

More About the Corgi Breed
Before we got our dog, we as a family agreed that Corgis are super cute and would be fun to have around. Those things are both true, but when we started researching to learn more about the breed, we found out that they're more than just cute.
The name 'Corgi' actually means "dwarf dog" in Welsh. This makes sense because of those adorable short legs they have. But don't let those short legs fool you; Corgis are the smallest of the herding dog breed, and they are incredibly fast runners. They can run up to 25 MPH at top speed! And they love to stay busy and exercise, so if you're looking for a couch potato, a Corgi might not be the right dog for you.
Another fun fact about Corgis has to do with the legend that Corgis were brought by Vikings to Pembrokeshire back in the 10th century and Welsh legends say that Corgis come from a fairy kingdom and that fairies rode them...some say they're magical little creatures!
Corgis are a whole lot of energy wrapped into one small package. Like Maxine and Hammy, they are silly and sassy and a lot of fun to have around. There was one thing that we learned about Corgis that made us think twice about bringing one home. Corgis are known to be big barkers, something I'm just not willing to deal with. If they were able to talk like Hammy, that would be a different story, but lots of barking isn't a trait I'm willing to overlook. That's why it's important to do your research before picking out a pup just because it's cute - like me, you might find the cons (even just one!) of a breed outweighs the pros for your family.
