Dreaming of a White Christmas? Here's the 'Old Farmer's Almanac' Forecast
Who's dreaming of a white Christmas?
Well, Ree Drummond isn't. She once said, "When I was a little girl, winter was my favorite season of the year: I was all about sledding, snowball fights and snow days. Then I married a cowboy, moved to a cattle ranch and my winter tune changed entirely! Seeing what it takes to trudge through snow and ice to feed animals has been enough to turn me off of frigid weather forever." We can't really blame her for that. 😂
Luckily, she most likely won't have to deal with one this year. That's because The Old Farmer's Almanac's winter 2024 forecast predicts that "Most of the United States will be seeing a milder, gentler winter than average."
Using their 2025 long-range predictions, the experts also put together a handy U.S. map to help you determine if this Christmas calls for cozying up by the fireplace in Christmas pajamas with a warm drink in hand or if you'll need to avoid the layers while enjoying your holiday traditions.
So, let's get into the winter weather outlook (or lack thereof) from coast to coast on December 25. Check out the map below! You can also see each region broken down in a list. The gist of it? Well, according to The Old Farmer's Almanac, "The odds are that the snow will fall mainly in the Central region of the U.S." If that's you, cue the snow activities! Otherwise, you may not have to bundle up as tight this year.
