Horse's Adorable Response to Seeing a Hair Dryer For the First Time Never Gets Old
As many pet parents know firsthand, grooming our furry friends can be one of the most challenging parts of raising an animal. Each pet has their own unique needs, from trimming hair to filing nails, but it's still nothing compared to grooming a horse. These large animals are even more majestic up close, but their huge size can make the smallest tasks significantly more difficult. Unless, of course, you have a horse like Chicken!
This very sweet young horse may not be the biggest fan of water, but on November 19, he and his owner, Molly Jo, made a heartwarming discovery: he loves the blow dryer! The four-year-old hadn't seen one before, but his response was absolutely everything.
LOL! This beautiful horse may be having fun with the blow dryer during training, but he has no idea just what a stir he's caused online. He has over a quarter of a million views on this video alone! Chicken is always getting into shenanigans with his owner (who is also the horse's trainer), but I have a feeling he could have posted himself in front of the blow dryer forever.

"What I’ve learned from equestrian TikTok is that most horses are just little goobers," shared commenter @bramallamama. This video certainly supports that theory! The young horse can become enthralled by something as simple as blowing air or a pile of dirt (his favorite to roll around in), which keeps Molly Jo on her toes. Clearly, there's never a dull day as a horse owner!
Other viewers like @varlxbo noticed how "it's always the Bucksins and Palominos doing these things," while Sami wrote, "This is definitely a gelding." What gave it away? Chicken is still a young horse at 4 years old, and he's discovering new things (like the blow dryer) each day.
Equine Enrichment
Letting a horse play with a blow dryer may seem completely unrelated to equine training, but it's important to remember that enrichment is just as helpful as training when it comes to raising a horse. Even socialization with other horses plays an important role!
Needless to say, Chicken already excels in the enrichment department. He wasn't afraid of the big blow dryer or the noises it made, which proves he's already been exposed to many different sights and sounds. Great job, Molly Jo! She knows that enrichment doesn't have to be expensive or complex in order to be effective, which is why equine toys like giant balls are so fun for horses. They're learning while they play!
Chicken may not have learned much on November 19 besides what a blow dryer is, but his hilarious antics have charmed thousands of people. He really is one in a million.
