Holidays can be hard. Correction, being with family can be hard. But for every nosy aunt or uncle in your life, there's an "aunt" like Belle. Well, she's more of a dog really. But she's still one woman's favorite family member, as an adorable video shows.

Going to your relatives house would be so easy if every family member was like Belle. Just think of it, an entire family of Labrador Retrievers. Sounds like heaven.

We just bet Darby Ann couldn't wait to go home and spend time with good old auntie. In the video she shared, it looks like the Labrador Retriever was so happy to see her too! Their bond is clearly so deep. But it's a little hard for Darby to explain the Lab's relation to her. Is she her cousin? No, no — Belle is her second cousin once removed. That can't be right either. Hmmmm.

"This is my grandparent's dog so she's technically my aunt," the woman clarified in the video's onscreen caption.

"Aunt Belle?" she joked.

Labrador Retrievers Are Great Family Dogs

There's a reason why Belle gets along with everyone — she's a Labrador Retriever! Labs are extremely popular. They are beloved everywhere! Labs are excellent family dogs that get along with other animals, humans, and children too.

That being said, it's not all sunshine and roses with a Labrador Retriever. These are high energy dogs who were bred to work. You need to have a lot of energy for these dogs and you need to give them tasks to do for them to be happy. They're retrievers after all! They need a job.

You should also be prepared to train your dog. It's not as easy as it seems. Labs have a lot of energy and enthusiasm. So if you don't train them when they're young it can be hard to reign all that energy in. They aren't hard to train. But you do need to be proactive or you'll be chasing your dog around the house.

You also don't want to leave them alone for too long. Bored Labs with tons of energy can get sort of destructive. They might chew on the furniture, dig, or bark up a storm. So make sure to spend some quality time with them or always have someone at home. In short, Labs want to be around people. They aren't happy unless they're around the people they love. That's probably why Belle is such a good aunt!
